The delegation arrived at Rushmoor on Friday afternoon, for an excellent training session, before departing for the team hotel at the Holiday Inn, Farnborough.

England A started the Saturday (International v Great Britain) on Bars, with a superb performance from all five & reserve.  Every release was caught, every dismount was landed! England A on Beam started a little shaky, but soon picked up the pace, but two counting falls left them way behind the experienced GB team. England A recovered their composure on Floor, with superb routines from all.  Four routines with double tuck/pike all landed setup a nice finale on Vault , where straight Yurchenko from Jenna Arnot and Straight Tsukahara from Lavinia Raymund Jayadev put a strong finish on the team performance.

England B started strongly on Floor with excellent double saltos from Sophie Scott, Olivia Williams, Maisie Lloyd Jones, and the reserve who was brought into the team (replacing an injured Emily Gibson, Europa) Lana Chilton.

The B teams Vaults were all strong and landed. Bars became their weak point, with too many counting falls, but they picked up their composure to produce five very good Beam routines.  The teams finished 2nd and 3rd, with Jenna Arnot taking the overall Bronze medal, after a super All-Around performance.

Finals day on Sunday - Lavinia Raymund Jayadev had a clean performance on both Bars and Beam. Masie Lloyd Jones came 4th on Vault, just missing out on a medal and a solid second day performance on Floor.  Jenna Arnot was tidy on Bars, but very solid on Floor, taking the Bronze Floor medal. Sophie Scott competed in both the Vault and Beam Finals. Madelaine Hart competed in the Bars and Beam Finals, and the reserve put into the team at a week’s notice, Lana Chilton from City of Newcastle, took the Silver medal with a super Beam, Flic Layout Layout combinations.  Very solid, missing out on the Beam Gold by 0.1. Job well done Lana.

The teams competing at the Leverkusen in Germany two weeks before were rested for this event, to give the opportunity to other squad members to step up to a full England International. Three new coaches donned their England shirts - Tina Field, David Roy Wood & Natalie Reeve, and thoroughly enjoyed the event.  Looking forward to next year’s Rosebowl.
