British Gymnastics are inviting expressions of interest for Performance Pathway and High-Performance Coach Development Professionals on a Contract for services basis.
Gymnastics is an amazing sport that has the power to positively impact people, communities and society, building foundations for life through uplifting experiences for all those who take part. At the heart of this in the UK is the gymnastics community, made up of Gymnasts, Parents, Coaches, Clubs, Welfare Officers, Officials and Volunteers. Take a look at our Leap Without Limits Stategy
As the UK’s recognised National Governing Body for gymnastics, by working closely with our members who form this community, we aim to work together to lead, support and inspire people to help build a bright future for our sport.
As part of the recently launched Learning and Development Strategic plan, British Gymnastics are looking to create a team of contracted for service, non-employed professionals to support the personal and professional development of coaches working in performance pathway and high-performance environments.
Role Details The role will involve working ‘one to one’ with identified coaches, supporting them with their specific needs aligned to identified and agreed goals. This requires highly skilled and experienced professionals who are able to adapt their coach development practice to meet the coaches where they are at, with those needs within the context of their environment.
Each coach will be allocated c. 5-10 days’ help and support from a coach development professional per year, which we envisage would be a combination of online / face to face interactions and in-situ support.
This is an opportunity to be involved in a system leading project, offering gymnastics coaches working in performance pathway and high-performance environments greater and more meaningful support than ever before.
